We made an orange splash at this year’s Durham Miners Gala on 12th July!

Loved and attended in their thousands by locals every year, the Gala also attracts visitors from all over the country, which is great for us. Our stall was busy all day, with interest from nearby and from further afield. Thanks to wonderful volunteers, we gave out not just information but knitted orange hearts, to remind them of our campaign. Some lucky visitors even had plants to take away!
We campaign specifically about the abomination that is Derwentside IRC, on the doorstep of Durham City and only a few miles away from the Gala location.
But the injustice of unfair and indefinite immigration detention is one we want everyone to know about, wherever we live in the UK.
