What’s the event about?

The event will focus on the women held inside of Derwentside. We will have obvious empty places at each picnic blanket for those women. We hope to create a cyanotype, on the day, to use at future events. We will also be producing messages for the women inside, in a creative, thoughtful manner.
Please bring picnic blankets, food to share and maybe a folding chair. The event will be on the field next to Derwentside IRC, as we know the women inside can hear us there.

Whilst this year’s event will be different to the last two years,  the women incarcerated in Derwentside IRC know that we are there. Check our social media for more details about conditions on site.

We are running buses from central Newcastle and Durham, for a nominal cost. Booking links are below. If you have people who would like to attend but they have no funds, then please email no2hassockfield@outlook.com to book coach places. You can also donate via the same links.
