Every month for a year now we and our partners have called for supporters to gather at the gates of Hassockfield Immigration Removal Centre (known as Derwentside IRC since December 2021) to say loudly and clearly that the UK government’s policy of locking up women applying for sanctuary is a stain on our country’s human rights record.

Take a trip to Medomsley and spend a couple of hours using our voices to reassure the detainees that they are not forgotten. We are still fighting every way we can to see their rights are upheld and to change our country’s cruel detention system.
