Our demonstration on Saturday left the people of Consett in no doubt about the grim past and future of what is going on at the nearby Medomsley/Hassockfield/ Derwentside Detention \Immigration Reception Centre – even all the changes of name indicate how sensitive the Home Office is to the opposition that is building up against it.
